Stuart Carroll Quality Meats' philosophy has always remained the same: the finest quality and above all, service.  They are proud to offer a store for people who love great food. Quality and accountability come first and everything they sell is 100% guaranteed.

They have received many awards and accolades and are famous for their peameal bacon, made by hand with only the finest Ontario pork. Every day they take pride in their results and the fact that they've been in business for 47 years means they must be doing something right.

Carroll's meat counter is approached liked an artist treats his canvas. The art of butchery has long been a family trade. Colin Carroll came to Canada in 1957, after spending 7 years as an apprentice butcher in Smithfield Market, London, England. With his expertise, he opened "Colin Carroll & Sons Butchers" in the York Farmers Market in Thornhill, ON. Eager to follow in his father footsteps, Stuart Carroll began working in the store part-time at age 11.  The name was changed to “Stuart Carroll Quality Meats” in 1984 when Colin handed the reins to his son. Stuart took the small market stall from its beginnings as a basic butcher shop and evolved it into a gourmet food shopping experience.

Today's consumer is now not only concerned about the quality and cost of food, but how it got to their plate. Canada's meat industry must follow strict farming practices to ensure safety to the public and environment. Buying local reduces the carbon footprint and supports the local economy. Our customers can be assured that we are buying superior products for them to feed their family with confidence. Ontario Pork is the finest quality in the world!
