It’s a Whole Hog Partnership for Ontario Pork and Toronto FC

Ontario Pork named official partner for Toronto FC

GUELPH, ONTARIO (May 11, 2022) – They call it Hog Town for a reason – Ontario-grown pork has been part of the fabric of Toronto since its earliest days. Today, Ontario Pork is proud to announce that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Toronto FC.

When fans head to BMO Field to check out Toronto’s premier football club, not only will they experience stadium food unlike any other but they’ll now see a familiar logo on menu boards and stadium signage — the Ontario Pork logo that stands for natural, high-quality and delicious pork raised by Ontario farmers.

“MLSE is proud to have partnered with Ontario Pork, an organization that represents hundreds of Ontario farmers. This partnership supports our mandate of providing high-quality in-venue experiences, which includes the food items we offer our fans in our venues,” said Andrew Stokes, Senior Director, Global Partnerships at MLSE. “In working with Ontario Pork, MLSE is ensuring fans get to enjoy high-quality pork at BMO field during Toronto FC games.”

As a part of this partnership, fans can enjoy fresh roasted porchetta sandwiches, street tacos and poutine topped with tender, delicious Ontario pork at each game. Watch for special game-day promotions and contests from Ontario Pork.

“As a leader in stadium hospitality, MLSE is committed to providing top-quality ingredients for fans to enjoy. I am proud to work with Ontario Pork in bringing the freshest and most-sustainable pork to our kitchen,” Chris Zielinski, Culinary Director at MLSE. “We are proud to partner with an organization that emphasizes quality assurance and sustainability.”

Ontario Pork and its producers are very excited about this partnership. “Like Toronto FC players and their dedicated supporters, Ontario Pork farmers and the partners on their team are passionate about delivering the best to consumers every day,” said John de Bruyn, Board Chair of Ontario Pork and a pork producer from Oxford County.  “When it comes to quality and commitment, Ontario pork producers go whole hog.”
