Ontario Pork’s social responsibility efforts have been recognized on a global level by earning an Award of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), based on a submission by partner agency Argyle Public Relationships. Farm Credit Corporation’s Drive Away Hunger campaign took an Award of Merit in the same Corporate Social Responsibility Category.
The IABC is the recognized global community of communication professionals representing diverse industries and disciplines. The IABC Gold Quill Awards program recognizes business communication excellence globally, and is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious awards programs in the industry. Gold Quill entries are evaluated against IABC’s standard of excellence, and this year, awards have been won by organizations from around the world, with 16 countries represented in the winners list.
There are two levels of awards: Award of Merit and Award of Excellence, as determined by the judges’ scoring.
The Ontario Pork submission “An Era of Change and Accountability” was entered under the “Corporate Social Responsibility” category and earned the highest honour: the Award of Excellence. There is only one other CSR campaign that earned that level of recognition in this year’s awards.
The awards will be presented at the Excellence Awards Gala, to be held on Tuesday 13 June, as part of the World Conference in Washington, D.C.
