TRACEABILITY

The Canadian Pork Council together with provincial pork organizations have developed an identification (ID) and traceability system for the Canadian hog industry as a proactive measure to safeguard our industry from foreign animal disease, protect our domestic and export market access and uphold our food safety quality. Ontario Pork has completed its premises identification and tattoo registration process with its producers.

For more information on National Identification and Traceability visit the Pig Trace Canada website (www.pigtrace.ca).
