Ontario Pork strives to help educators teach students of all ages about pigs, the pork industry and agriculture in general. While we have our own experts that can come to your classroom and assist in that process, we realize that sometimes that may just not be practical. The Ontario Pork Pig Mobile is another great tool for educators to make use of, unfortunately with it being on the road over 100 days a year it may not be in your area at a convenient time.

In order to help those interested in educating people of all ages about pigs and pork, Ontario Pork provides a wide variety of resources such as flyers, brochures, pamphlets and activity books that can be used in or out of the classroom environment.

Proudly Presenting Pigs

Ontario Pork's Proudly Presenting Pigs material is intended to help any educator interested in teaching people about pork and pigs. This document guides educators from the basics of how to keep students focused and how to make the material fun, to how to integrate learning about pigs and pork into the Ontario school curriculum. The Proudly Presenting Pigs material also includes several great activity ideas that will make any presentation more fun.

	The Pig Poop Cycle This handy 1 page full colour chart shows the 4 stage cycle of what happens with pig poop or manure - from storage, to farmer's fields to fertilizing crops like corn which is then used to feed pigs before the entire process repeats. 	Pig Tales Fun Book Intended for a younger audience, the Pig Tales Fun Book is loaded with great activities for kids to enjoy. From word games and colouring to puzzles, word searches and trivia! 	Ontario Farm Animal Council (OFAC) The Ontario Farm Animal Council (OFAC) website provides an Agriculture Awareness Toolkit which contains everything from advice for dealing with difficult situations to petting zoo guidelines, to instructions for building your own farm trivia game, the Ag Awareness Toolkit will be useful for anyone organizing or volunteering at an agricultural education event. 	Ontario Agri-Food Education (OAFE) The Ontario Agri-Food Education (OAFE) website hosts a Teacher Resources section that provides a wide variety of resource material and information that enhances the ability of teachers and learners to understand the value and importance of an agri-food system.
