The Shakespeare Swine Seminar is an annual education meeting for swine producers and industry that has been held for more than 20 years. The event takes place in Stratford, Ontario and draws upwards of 170 attendees. The Seminar strives to provide the most recent information on issues pertaining to swine health and welfare, nutrition, management and housing, transport, meat quality, new technology and the environment both inside and outside of the barn.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Paul Sundberg from the Swine Health Information Centre in Ames, Iowa who will be speaking on African Swine Fever.
Additonal topics include:
New Livestock Transport Regulations and when they are coming and what this means to you.
Lift crates in the farrowing house; do they really work?
Pig to feeder space ratios; is there an ideal?
Floor feeding gestating sows; advantages and disadvantages.
The meeting will be held on September 18th at the Festival Inn, Stratford Ontario.
Registration starts at 3:30pm with the meeting starting at 4pm.
Supper is from 6-7pm (included in the ticket price).
