ONTARIO PORK COMMITTEES

Each year the newly elected Board of Directors forms the committees that will work under Board mandate for that year.

Ontario Pork 2011 Committees:

Audit | Research | Resolutions | Safety Nets

Audit Committee
The audit committee will provide liaison between the Board of Directors and the auditors and assist the Board in carrying out its fiduciary duties. The committee provides input for the planning of the audit by communicating particular areas of concern to the auditors as well as reviewing annual financial statements and other results of the auditors’ work.

Research Committee
This committee establishes, balances and monitors research projects. Proposals are considered against the priorities set and recommendations for funding of proposals are made to the Board of Directors.

Resolutions Committee
This committee prepares resolutions for the annual meeting and the response back to delegates from resolutions passed.

Safety Nets Committee
This committee works to ensure that Ontario pork producers have input into the development of programs funded with safety net dollars.
